Is delivery really free?
Yes. Every price on this site is a delivered price and includes haulage to any address in the 50 states, including Alaska and Hawaii. There are no fuel levies, mileage charges or ZIP code surcharges.
What will I pay on top of the listed price?
Only state sales tax, calculated from your delivery address at checkout. If you hold a valid exemption certificate you can enter it at checkout and the tax is removed once the certificate is verified.
How do I pay?
Credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and ACH/bank wire.
How long until my container arrives?
Dispatch is 3-10 business days after payment clears. You are contacted with a delivery date, and someone needs to be on site to accept the delivery and show the driver where the unit goes.
Can I return a container?
Stock units can be returned within 14 days of delivery. Return haulage on a change-of-mind return is paid by the buyer, at cost. Where a unit was misdescribed, damaged in transit or the wrong item, we collect it and refund in full at no cost to you. Units built or modified to your own specification are not covered by the change-of-mind window once work has started.
What condition are your used containers in?
Used units we sell are graded cargo-worthy or wind and water tight: no holes, no daylight, doors closing and sealing, sound floor. They show honest working history in the form of surface marks, dents, patch repairs and mixed paint.
What size container do I need?
Work from the tallest and widest thing you need to load. A 20ft unit takes roughly 8 to 10 standard pallets, a 40ft takes 18 to 20, and a high cube adds about 12 inches of internal height for tall loads.
Do I need a permit to put a container on my land?
That depends entirely on your zoning district and local rules, which vary by state, county and city. Ask your local planning or building department before you order, and get the answer in writing.
What ground does a container need?
Firm, level ground that a loaded truck can drive on: concrete, asphalt, compacted hardcore or well-drained gravel. Level pads under the four corner castings are enough. Soft ground, wet grass, fresh topsoil and sand are not suitable.
Can you modify a container for me?
Yes. Personnel doors, roller shutters, windows, partitions, insulation, lining, electrics, shelving and paint are all fabricated to your specification. Modified units are priced per project through the quote form rather than sold at a checkout price.
Are the photographs of the exact container I will receive?
Used containers are individual units, so the photographs are real photographs representative of that type and grade rather than of one serial number. If you want photographs of the specific unit allocated to your order before it ships, ask and we will send them.
Are your refrigerated containers plug-in?
No. Refrigeration machines are three-phase equipment and must be connected by a qualified electrician to a supply of the correct rating. The nameplate rating is listed on each unit's product page.
