Privacy policy

We collect only what we need to quote, deliver and support your container order. This page explains exactly what that is, who sees it and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who is responsible for your data

Shipping Container Titan Distribution LLC (EIN 94-3148464, registration number DE-772109, Delaware) is the business that decides how your personal information is used. Our registered trading address is 250 Little Falls Dr, Wilmington, DE 19808, United States. You can reach us at sales@sctitancontainers.store or (302) 666-4991, 9am–5pm Monday–Friday.

Information we collect

Quote and enquiry details: your name, email address, phone number, company name, delivery ZIP code, the products you selected and anything you type into the enquiry message.
Order details: the full delivery address, site access notes, the items ordered, the price and sales tax charged, and any tax exemption certificate number you enter.
Payment details: we do not receive or store card numbers. Card payments are taken by a regulated payment provider; bank wire payments reach us as a bank reference showing the sending account name.
Support correspondence: emails, call notes and photographs you send us about a delivery, a return or a warranty question.
Basic technical data: the pages you view on this site and general error information used to keep the site working.

We do not knowingly collect information from children, and this site is not directed at them. We do not ask for social security numbers, government ID or biometric data.

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry and prepare a written quote.
To arrange haulage, confirm a delivery window and complete the delivery.
To calculate the sales tax due on your order and verify an exemption certificate.
To issue invoices, receipts and refunds, and to keep tax and accounting records.
To handle returns, transit damage claims and warranty questions.
To prevent fraudulent orders and to comply with the law.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, we do not share it with data brokers, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling. We only email you marketing if you ask us to, and every such email has an unsubscribe link.

Who we share it with

Haulage companies: your delivery address, contact number and site notes, so the driver can find you and place the unit.
Depots and fabricators: the order specification and delivery city, where a unit is released or modified before dispatch.
Payment provider: the amount, currency and order reference needed to take payment.
Our accountant and tax authorities: invoice records where required.
Service providers who host this website and our email: under contract, and only to run the service.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim. If the business is ever sold, customer records may transfer to the buyer, who would be bound by this policy.

Cookies and site storage

This site stores your basket in your browser's local storage so it survives a page reload, and uses strictly necessary cookies to keep a signed-in session working. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. Clearing your browser storage removes your basket. Because we do not run advertising trackers, there is nothing to opt out of for targeted advertising.

How long we keep it

Quote and enquiry records: 24 months from the last contact.
Order, invoice and tax records: seven years, to meet tax and accounting rules.
Support correspondence: three years from the order date.

How we protect it

This site is served over HTTPS. Order and enquiry records are held in access-controlled systems, and only staff who need the information to fulfil your order can see it. No system is completely secure, so if a breach ever affects your information we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

Your privacy rights

Wherever you live in the United States, you can ask us to:

tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
correct anything that is wrong;
delete information we are not legally required to keep;
stop sending you marketing email;
confirm that we have not sold or shared your information — we have not.

Email sales@sctitancontainers.store with the subject "Privacy request". We reply within 45 days and may ask you to confirm the order reference or email address on file so we do not release data to the wrong person. Making a request costs nothing and we will not treat you differently for making one. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can escalate to your state attorney general.

Where your data is held

Our systems and service providers are located in the United States, and your information is processed there.

Changes to this policy
